LG G2 Mini
In recent years, major cellphone manufacturers have released miniature versions of their flagship smartphones and LG is no exception. As with other ‘mini’ smartphone models the LG G2 sports a more compact design, lower spec and a lower price point.
While the LG G2 has a 5.2 inch screen, the LG G2 Mini has a smaller screen which clocks in at 4.7 inches. The smaller size makes the device more manageable, especially for those who find phablets uncomfortable to hold and navigate.
The LG G2 Mini has the same unique key placement as the LG G2. All the buttons are located on the rear of the device, allowing for an uncluttered display. LG comment that this design is more ergonomic and prevents thumbs and fingers from obscuring the screen. While this button placement is certainly different to other phones on market, users of the LG G2 Mini comment that it is very easy to get used to.
The LG G2 Mini has a respectable 540 x 960 pixel display which delivers sharp images and makes it a worthy competitor in its rank. Beneath the surface, the LG G2 features a standard Snapdragon 400 processor (1.2GHz quad-core). However, despite the lower specs, the LG G2 Mini is a responsive device with no lag. The cellphone also sports a 2,440 mAh battery which lasts well throughout the day.
The device runs on the 4.4 KitKat edition of the popular Android operating software. LG have clearly spent a lot of time glossing the user interface as it is highly customizable and has a range of color schemes.
