Samsung Galaxy Note 3
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is one of Samsung’s major attacks on the phablet market as the Note 3’s 5.7 inch screen blurs the boundary between cellphone and tablet without proving cumbersome. Selling more than 10 million units in less than 2 months , The Note 3 enjoyed much commercial success and is still a very sought-after cellphone today.
Although synonymous with plastic handsets, Samsung have tried to give the Note 3 a more premium feel by including a metallic band around the edge of the phone and covering the back of the cellphone with faux-leather. The faux-leather back panel has proved somewhat controversial in tech circles; some compliment the design while others are quick to criticize it. At Simply Tech we are particularly fond of the faux-leather back panel, it makes the device more comfortable to hold and offers more grip than Samsung’s standard shiny plastic back panels – we certainly didn’t want this $550+ cellphone smashing on the floor! The Galaxy Note 3 was initially available in black, white and pink. In addition, there is now a red version, a white version with a rose gold metallic trim and a jet black version with a rose gold metallic trim.
On the back of the phone there is a 13-megapixel camera that allows you take stunning pictures and a video camera which shoots in awesome 4K quality which is 4 times clearer than regular Full HD. On the front of the phone there is a 2MP camera, great for taking selfies and video calls. The camera application also has a number of shooting modes, allowing you to take even better photos.
While in recent years, many cellphone manufacturers have moved away from cellphones that use styluses, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 uses a stylus as well as touchscreen. However, the stylus of the Note 3, called S pen, is not your regular stylus. As well as allowing you to navigate the humongous screen with greater precision, by drawing a circle around a page, picture or photo you can save it in your scrapbook for later, great for those doing research on the go! The Pen Window function allows you to draw a box on any screen and attribute an application to it. This allows you to have your calculator handy when browsing shops online!
